Marcus Emerson knows exactly how to write for kids who have been raised on a diet of short-form video. It's fast, it's funny, and it doesn't try too hard to be 'literary.'
While the 'Kid Youtuber' premise might sound like brain-rot to some parents, the book actually does a decent job of showing the friction between real-life responsibilities and the hunt for views. It’s a solid win for getting a kid to put down the tablet and pick up a physical object with pages in it.
