Look, Kenan Thompson is a national treasure, but this show is peak 'we need content for our network schedule' television. A 5.9 on IMDb and 64 on Metacritic means critics were lukewarm and audiences were even less impressed.
The premise—widowed dad juggling morning show hosting and raising two daughters—has potential for heart and humor, but the execution is apparently forgettable at best. It's the kind of show that airs, exists, and then vanishes without making much of an impression on anyone.
Is it safe for families? Sure. Will your kids learn anything? Maybe a little about family support systems. Will anyone remember watching it a week later? Doubtful. There are dozens of better family sitcoms out there with actual rewatchability and heart. This one's a skip unless you're really desperate for something inoffensive to have on in the background.
