JxmyHighroller is legitimately one of the better sports channels on YouTube—the content is smart, well-researched, and actually teaches analytical thinking through basketball. If your kid is into the NBA, this beats mindless highlight compilations by a mile.
The problem? Those DraftKings sponsorships. Even with age disclaimers, putting gambling ads in front of a primarily teen audience is sketchy. Sports betting companies know exactly what they're doing sponsoring these channels, and it's not great. You'll want to have a conversation about why those ads exist and why betting is a bad idea for, well, basically everyone but especially kids.
Bottom line: The content itself is solid and enriching for basketball fans. Just be aware of the gambling normalization happening in the ad reads, and maybe skip those sections or talk through them. If your teen can handle that context, there's real value here.
