Look, I'll be straight with you: this movie is a miss. When a film scores 29% on Rotten Tomatoes, 4.4 on IMDb, and 2.6 on Letterboxd, that's not a niche misunderstanding—that's consensus that something went wrong.
The premise—three couples become subjects of a documentary arguing marriage should be a seven-year renewable contract—could work in sharper hands. But based on the critical drubbing, it appears to be neither funny enough to work as comedy nor insightful enough to work as social commentary.
For parents, this is irrelevant anyway since it's adult-only content. For adults looking for smart relationship content, you're better off with literally dozens of other options. Only watch this if you're a completist for indie relationship dramedies or you've somehow exhausted every other option on Starz.
