This is the app equivalent of a grocery store activity book—fine for killing 15 minutes, but nothing special. The 12 mini-games are standard brain-training fare (memory matching, sudoku, mazes) that your kid could do with a pencil and paper.
The confusing part is the Funbrain brand. The website gets dinged hard by Common Sense Media for constant ads and a 'playground' section parents warn against. This 2018 Android app claims to work offline and seems separate, but the lack of clear information about ads or monetization is a red flag.
Even if it's totally clean, the educational value is superficial. These are drill-and-practice puzzles that might improve pattern recognition but won't spark creativity or deep thinking. Kids over 7 will be bored in minutes. There are better, more engaging educational apps out there—this one feels like it was made in 2018 and hasn't been touched since.
