Evan-Moor is basically the 'Old Reliable' of the workbook world. It’s not flashy, and it’s not going to compete with a tablet for attention, but as far as 'table time' goes, this is top-tier.
It’s colorful enough to keep them engaged and the activities are varied enough that it doesn't feel like a never-ending stack of worksheets. If you're looking for a way to kill 20 minutes that isn't YouTube and actually helps their brain, this is a solid win.
Just be prepared to help them find a flashlight for the shadow experiments.
