Stella takes the beloved Dixit artwork and wraps it in a faster, less performative package. If you've got a kid who loves the dreamy illustrations but freezes up when asked to give creative clues in front of others, this is your game.
The genius is in the scoring: you want to pick cards that match the clue word, but you only score if others pick them too. It's a beautiful lesson in empathy and perspective-taking disguised as a party game. Your 9-year-old is literally practicing 'what would Mom think this means?' every round.
The push-your-luck element adds just enough tension—pick too many cards and you might lose points—without creating the kind of direct conflict that ends in tears. At 30 minutes and a complexity rating of 1.16, it's accessible without being boring.
The main caveat: you really need 4+ players for this to work. At 3, the scoring math gets weird and the fun deflates. But with a full table? This is a legitimately great family game night choice that adults won't secretly hate.
