If your kid is obsessed with the show, this is a no-brainer. It’s one of those rare tie-in books that actually has more substance than the source material.
It’s dense enough to be a reference book they’ll keep on the shelf for years, but the illustrations and 'Dana's Field Notes' keep it from feeling like a dry textbook. It’s the kind of media that makes kids want to put down the tablet and go dig a hole in the backyard, which is the highest praise I can give.
Best for kids 4 to 10. While publishers say up to 12, most pre-teens will find the 'Dana' branding a bit young, but for the K-4 crowd, this is pure gold.
