Creepshow is a cult classic for a reason: King and Romero made something genuinely fun for horror nerds, with memorable segments (that crate monster!) and a comic-book aesthetic that still pops. The problem? It's 40+ years old, and it shows. The pacing drags, the acting is hammy even by 80s standards, and practical effects that were cutting-edge in 1982 now look like... well, like puppets and rubber suits.
For parents: this is not remotely kid-friendly despite the comic-book wrapper. Every segment has graphic violence, the cockroach finale is nightmare fuel, and the whole thing is designed to gross you out. If you have a high schooler who's into horror history or loves Stranger Things-era 80s nostalgia, maybe. But honestly? Most teens today would find it slow and dated.
For adults who love horror? It's a perfectly fine Saturday night watch with the right crowd. Just don't expect it to hold up the way, say, The Thing does. This is more "interesting artifact" than "timeless classic."
