If your teen is currently living on BookTok, they've likely already heard of Lynn Painter. Betting On You is a solid addition to her lineup that avoids the 'cringe' factor often found in adult-written teen dialogue. It’s fast-paced, funny, and emotionally resonant.
It’s the kind of book that turns 'reluctant readers' into 'stay-up-until-2am readers.' It doesn't lecture; it just tells a really good story about two kids trying to figure out if love is a suckers' bet or something worth the risk.
