This is peak mid-2000s direct-to-video Scooby-Doo—which means it's watchable but completely forgettable. The fantasy angle is mildly interesting, but the execution is bland and the animation looks dated even by 2008 standards.
If your kid is in a Scooby phase, sure, throw it on. But with dozens of Scooby movies and shows available, this one doesn't crack the top tier. The 60% RT audience score and 6.3 IMDb rating tell the story: it's fine. Just fine.
The bigger issue is enrichment—there's almost none. The classic mystery-solving format that actually engages kids' brains is mostly abandoned for a straightforward fantasy quest. It's harmless background noise, but you're not missing anything if you skip it for a better Scooby entry.
