This is exactly what it says on the tin: a stepping stone. It’s not high-brow literature, but it’s a fantastic way to introduce a kid to one of the coolest legends ever without them getting bogged down in Old English or archaic descriptions.

It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s way better than some of the fluff filling the 'early reader' shelves these days. It has enough 'danger' to be exciting for a 7-year-old but remains totally safe and wholesome. If you're trying to get a kid to transition into chapter books, this is a very reliable tool in the shed.

Ideal for 7 to 10-year-olds. It’s perfect for a second grader starting to read solo or a fourth grader who wants a quick, satisfying win to build their reading confidence.
