This is purely a nostalgia play. If you loved it as a kid, your kids might tolerate it for a movie night, but don't expect them to be riveted. It lacks the heart of the first film (Escape to Witch Mountain) and replaces it with a weirder, more urban plot that feels like a generic 70s TV show.
It's perfectly safe and 'fine,' but in a world of high-octane animation and tight storytelling, this one is likely to end up as background noise while they reach for a tablet.
