Look, this is basically a long episode of a Kung Fu Panda TV series that got labeled as a "movie." At 23 minutes, it's more like an extended bonus feature you'd find on a DVD.
That said, it's perfectly pleasant. The messages are good, the content is safe, and if your kid loves Kung Fu Panda, they'll probably enjoy seeing how the Furious Five came together. The ratings are middling across the board (6.9 IMDb, 64% RT audience, 3.2/5 Letterboxd), which tells you everything: it's fine, it's forgettable, it's not bad.
The real question is whether you need more Kung Fu Panda content in your life. If your kid is in that sweet spot where they've watched the main movies a dozen times and are hungry for more, this is a harmless way to scratch that itch. If they're not already fans, skip it and just watch the original film instead—it's infinitely better.
