The Great British Photography Challenge is the anti-competiton. It’s quiet, thoughtful, and deeply interested in the why of art rather than the who wins of reality TV. Hosted by Rankin, it’s essentially a four-part workshop disguised as a show.
For a kid who is into photography or digital art, this is a goldmine. For everyone else, it might be a bit of a snooze. It’s high-quality programming that respects the audience’s intelligence, but it lacks the 'hook' that makes something like Bake Off so universally addictive.
