Let's be honest: this is the kind of movie you find in the $5 DVD bin at a grocery store, and there's a reason for that. The 3.2 IMDb rating tells you everything you need to know—this is objectively poor filmmaking with weak animation, derivative storytelling, and execution that fails to engage even its target audience of young children.
The good news? It's completely safe, with only mild peril and no content concerns whatsoever. The bad news? Your 4-year-old might sit through it once, but even Common Sense Media admits it 'struggles to hold attention or spark imagination.' For kids 7 and up, this will feel painfully boring and cheap compared to literally any other magical adventure available on streaming.
Unless you've somehow exhausted every other animated fantasy option (you haven't), skip this one. There are dozens of better magical school stories that are both safe AND actually entertaining.
