Here's the deal: Stitch Head has an interesting premise—a small creature protecting a Mad Professor's creations in a Gothic castle. It sounds like it could be Tim Burton meets family animation, which is cool.
But those audience scores are brutal. A 2.8 out of 5 on Letterboxd and 5.8 on IMDb means people who actually watched it weren't impressed. The 69% critic score is passable, but when you combine it with the audience reaction, it suggests this is one of those movies that sounds better on paper than it plays on screen.
If your kid is into spooky-but-safe animation and you've exhausted better options, it's fine for a rainy afternoon. But don't expect it to become a favorite or even hold their attention all the way through. There are just better animated movies out there, and this one seems to miss the mark on execution despite having some creative bones.
