Secret of the Wings is the definition of 'fine.' It's a perfectly safe, perfectly adequate Disney fairy movie that will entertain preschoolers and early elementary kids without causing parents any concern whatsoever. The sisterhood themes are sweet, the winter fairy world is pretty, and there's genuinely zero content to worry about.
That said, this is direct-to-video Disney at its most formulaic. Critics gave it a middling 62% and audiences were warmer but not enthusiastic at 78%. It's the kind of movie that kids will watch happily enough, maybe even twice, and then completely forget about. If your kid is already a Tinker Bell devotee, this is a solid addition to the rotation. If not, there's nothing here that will convert them—and you might find yourself checking your phone halfway through.
Bottom line: A safe, sweet, but ultimately unremarkable entry in the Disney fairy canon. It won't rot anyone's brain, but it won't expand it much either.
