Look, I'll be straight with you: this is not good. A 4.9 on IMDb and 2.9 on Letterboxd means even generous fantasy fans couldn't get behind it. It's a low-budget 2014 fantasy trying to launch a franchise (hence 'SAGA') that never materialized, and there's a reason for that.
The premise—elven bounty hunter versus orc shaman in a world of dragons and undead gods—could work in better hands, but the execution is reportedly wooden, the effects are dated even for 2014, and the whole thing feels like a rough draft of a better movie.
If your teen is genuinely curious about fantasy filmmaking or wants to understand what separates good worldbuilding from just throwing elves and orcs at the screen, maybe there's a learning opportunity here. Otherwise, skip it and watch The Lord of the Rings again, or literally any other fantasy property with actual production value.
