Look, this is a concert film dressed up in sci-fi cosplay. If your teen is a Muse superfan, they'll eat this up—the production is genuinely impressive and the band's theatrical ambitions are on full display. The O2 Arena show was designed to be a spectacle, and the film captures that energy.
But here's the reality: if your kid doesn't already know and love Muse, this is going to feel like 80 minutes of someone else's very specific obsession. The sci-fi narrative about scientists investigating anomalies is paper-thin window dressing. It's creative, sure, but it's not that creative.
The WISE score reflects its narrow appeal. It's safe enough, imaginative in execution, but enriching only if you're into this particular flavor of progressive rock theatricality. For the right teen at the right moment, it's a solid watch. For everyone else, it's a skip.
