Murder Mystery 2 is a middle-of-the-road detective simulator that tries to be a bit more cerebral than your average hidden-object game. It’s a sequel that delivers on its promise of deduction, but it’s definitely showing its age. By 2026 standards, the interface feels a bit clunky, and the constant threat of mobile ads is a real buzzkill for the 'immersive' experience it claims to offer.
If your kid is obsessed with Sherlock Holmes or true crime procedurals, they’ll find some value here. But keep in mind: this isn't the social, neon-colored Roblox game of the same name. This is a solo, somewhat grim investigation game that requires a decent attention span and a tolerance for 2019-era mobile design.
