This is exactly what it says on the box: a goofy LEGO superhero movie that'll keep elementary schoolers entertained for 77 minutes without giving parents anything to worry about. It's harmless, colorful, and completely forgettable.
The LEGO franchise has proven it can tell genuinely clever stories (The LEGO Movie, LEGO Batman), but this one goes full cotton candy—sweet, fluffy, and gone the moment you finish it. The humor is childish in a way that works for 7-year-olds but will have older siblings rolling their eyes. Parents will appreciate the short runtime and total lack of scary content, but don't expect anyone to be quoting it at dinner.
It's a solid rainy afternoon watch for the target demographic, and it does its job of introducing DC heroes without the darkness of the live-action films. Just don't expect it to compete with Pixar or even the better LEGO outings. It's fine. Totally, completely fine.
