This is a classic 'Purity Culture' text from 2009. If you’re a parent in a very conservative faith community, this book is probably already on your shelf. For everyone else, it’s a bit of a tough sell in 2026.
It treats the normal experience of growing up and liking people as a high-stakes war zone. While it has some okay advice about not letting media dictate your self-worth, that's often buried under a pile of 'don't-do-this' rules that can leave a young woman feeling more anxious than empowered. It's not exactly 'brain rot,' but it's definitely a lecture from a different era.
