Look, I'm not here to judge what adults watch on a Friday night, but Everly is a hard no for families and a 'why bother' for most grown-ups.
This is a single-location revenge thriller where Salma Hayek fights off assassins for 90-ish minutes. It's graphic, bloody, and centered on a sex worker protagonist—all fine for mature content, except that critics and audiences both landed at 29% approval. That's impressively bad consensus.
The film has no place in a family media library. It's violent, exploitative, and brings nothing enriching to the table. Even if you're into gritty action, there are dozens of better options. Skip this one entirely unless you're a completist for Salma Hayek's filmography or Bear McCreary's scores.
