Alien Trespass is a well-meaning tribute to 1950s sci-fi B-movies that commits fully to the bit—unfortunately, that bit is extremely boring for anyone born after 1985.
The ratings tell the story: 38% on Rotten Tomatoes, 31% audience score, a lukewarm 5.8 on IMDb. Even people who love retro camp found this one a slog. It's safe, it's wholesome, it's got a benevolent alien and a plucky waitress saving the world, but it's also slow, stilted, and about as exciting as watching paint dry in sepia tone.
If you've got a kid who's weirdly into film history or vintage aesthetics, maybe this could be a curiosity. For everyone else? There are a thousand better ways to spend 90 minutes. Even free streaming can't save this one from being a hard pass.
